Our History
Founded by Doug Edington, Kjell Hegge and David Edington. Operations were first established in Allgas St, Slacks Creek QLD, initially only undertaking design services and outsourced assembly tasks.
PROJECTS
Infra-red photoelectric safety beams for automatic doors for Dorma Door Controls , who are still a valued customer of Hetech.
Hetech brings production and manufacture facilities in house, identifying a market niche for ‘Turn Key’ projects.
Relocated to 26 Harries Road, Coorparoo, a much larger facility.
PROJECTS
Super 6 control board for slot machines. Custom designed and manufactured embedded microcontroller unit. This unit provided superior features for the gaming industry in Australia and the US.
PROJECTS
Providing Boral Elevators and Lifts with LCD screen lift-floor display units. This system featured detailed floor tenancy information and advertising using the embedded microcontroller unit.
Production staff increase from 1 to 10 employees, including additional design engineers and an Operations Manager

Contract services to Port of Brisbane for repairs to container lift cranes.

Creation of the voltage controller- now used extensively throughout Australia in commercial refrigeration assemblies to prevent condensation build up

Hetech sister company TecHome established designing, manufacturing and importing domestic and industrial wireless automation, actuators and remote control solutions

Design and manufacture of dewatering pump controller with telemetry system for coal mines.
Creation of TecHome remote control equipment for use in home automation applications.
Relocation to state of the art facility Perrin Drive, Underwood.

Manufacture in large volumes of the Smart Switch device used by electricity distribution authorities to manage peak demand.
