About the Role
Ideally, we’re looking for a tech-savvy Sales & Business Development Manager with 5+ years’ experience (preferably in the electrical/electronics industry) to join our team.
However, this role could be a great career step for a more junior individual looking to advance and grow in their career.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth and increase market share.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee the Company’s customer base to establish a common approach to retention and growth.
- Developing new customer relationships in target markets.
- Actively manage our CRM sales tool.
- Travel (local and interstate) to meet current and prospective stakeholders, attend trade shows and other events.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Present our products and services to potential clients.
- Monitoring competitor activities and maintaining awareness of emerging trends, changes in the economic environment and demand drivers that influence market behaviour.
- Collaborate with other internal roles to advise on strategic marketing plans.
- Monitor and report on current client trends to provide recommendations to Management and Directors.
Your Skills/Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, or Engineering.
- A proven track record of success in sales, with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be tech-savvy – proficient with sales tools including Excel and CRM software (e.g. Zoho).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the electronics/electrical industry would be highly regarded and a keen interest in technology is a must.
